Is Speccy free? Yes, the standard version of Speccy is completely free for personal use.
Does Speccy work on Windows 11? Yes, Speccy is fully compatible with Windows 10 and 11, 32-bit and 64-bit.
Is Speccy safe? Yes. Speccy is a read-only tool that inspects your system and shows information. It does not modify system files or change your hardware configuration.
Usage
What kind of information does Speccy show? Speccy shows details about your CPU, RAM, motherboard, graphics card, storage drives, optical drives, audio devices, and operating system.
Can I export my system information? Yes. You can save a snapshot of your system as XML or Text, and in some editions generate a shareable web URL for remote support.
How do I monitor temperatures? Open Speccy and look for the temperature values next to your CPU, motherboard, graphics card, and storage devices. If a value looks high, check your cooling and airflow.
Troubleshooting
Speccy is not showing a component correctly. What should I do? Make sure you are running the latest version of Speccy and that your chipset and device drivers are up to date. Some very new or uncommon hardware may require updates before full details are available.
Why do some values look different from other tools? Different tools can read hardware data in slightly different ways. Use Speccy for a consistent overview and compare critical values (like temperatures) rather than minor formatting differences.
